As you know, the time for the analogue TV signal switch off is quickly creeping up on us and you the local authority will be responsible for making sure that all of your communal systems are capable of receiving and distributing at least terrestrial digital signals. However, it is unlikely that the majority of them will be able to operate reliably in there current configuration given the age of the systems. Then there is the requirement of satellite reception to consider as tenants will rightly expect to be able to access these services too.

Of course, to re-engineering the systems will be an expensive exercise, but one that will need to be done.
